Spoke with a rep from Aureus yesterday and was very impressed...anyone done travel nursing with them?? Would love to get some opinions.

If I'm not mistaken, Aureus combined with StarMed. I have heard wonderful things about StarMed. I had a friend that traveled with Aureus and she seemed pleased. However, they did book her for an assignment that fell through, she was stuck without work, but they found her something else fairly quick.

I worked for them for 1 year. They say one thing and do another. If you take the housing pay; it does not add up to what they say. Contracts are 13 pages long, can not return to hospital with different company >1 year; $5 to 10K fine. Recruiters are manipulative. Seems like buying a used car.

I also am working for Aureus and I am changing companies
They never phone when they say they are going to and they promise things just to get you to do what they want. They lose everything and u have to fax things over and over and over Plus the contracts pages and pages that say nothing.

Just wanted to update...things have been moving along great so far with Aureus. They have been very accomodating and are doing their best to set me up with an assignment in Sept. Every person I've talked to has been pleasant... 2 thumbs up in my opinion.

Pages and pages and pages of paperwork and then some more. Was shorted a hundred bucks on one paycheck....not paid New Year Day's pay on another.. Still waiting on that one. First time out with this company. Recruiter not that supportive toward the END of the contract. Makes me wonder....had I made their money and they had gotten what they wanted? Second thoughts on taking another assignment with them. Have issues with trustworthiness.....money and recruiter. Think I would pass on this one. There are other companies out there that can be depended on.
