My first company I worked for Soliant Health has a sweet deal in Fallon, NV for an ICU position. (4 bed ICU but we did do swans and a lot of vents believe it or not.)You could get $35/hr plus $1200 for housing. I did a year there at the hospital, which is fairly new. The staff are nice and a lot of the time you will sit on one patient. I would have went back there but I make a lot more money in Norther Cali. They would probably even contract with a nurse directly at the hospital for $50/hr and they always have plenty of overtime available and they really appreciate the help. Sometimes you do hve to float to med surg or ER if the ICU is empty but that is pretty rare. Fallon is about 50 miles northeast of Reno so you are close to Tahoe, Sacramento and such. There is also plenty of per diem shifts available at area hospitals.
