Anybody know about NURSECHOICE?

Yes I will be first time traveler and found this company called NURSECHOICE. Wanted to know if anyone has heard about it or has traveled with it. I have tried to do alot of research on finding the best company to start out with. But I realize the recruiter makes a world of difference. I want to stay on the East coast to travel right now.

the recruiter does not necissarily make your assignment. they work on commission and make $$$$$$$$$ off of you. there fore they literally smile in your face and stab you pour salt and garlic in the wound. go into ulitmate nurse site and research the companies. the reviews are what nurses have said about the companies not how the companies rate themselves as seen on other web sites. this is a business and you need to keep that in mind.
and it's your business. you don't want to be stuck somewhere needing medical attention only to find out that you've been paying for something that doesn't cover what you need coverage for. i can tell you that nice recruiter that makes your assignment will care very little that you don't have the money to pay for your medical bill. it might benefit you to sit down and figure out what you want money, free from day one health insuranfce, matching from day one 401k, and facilities. that's what makes your assignment. the reviews on this site are great. and nothing that is said is out of viciousness from the nurse only viciousness shown toward the nurse from the company. trust me there are some really lousy companies out there. good luck to you

Re: Anybody know about NURSECHOICE?

I have done some research and the reviews are great on this site. This is a newer company branched off of others like NurseRX to offer short term assignments.
Thanks for the advice.

Re: Anybody know about NURSECHOICE?

I have had a wonderful experience with Nurse Choice. The pay and the housing was great and my assignment is even better. My recruiter is nice and very helpful. I recommend you calling them. They only do short term 48hr/wk assignments and they don't have what I want all the time so I also work with a company that does 13 wk assignments to balance it out. I don't always want to work 48 hrs per week!

Call my recuiter and give her my name for sending you please.

Re: Anybody know about NURSECHOICE?

i have known alot of nurse choice nurses here where i work.. i work at Johnson city medical center in tennessee.. they stoped taking nurse choice nurses here because they were having to pay them so much.. but i use to work with 2 nurse choice nurses.. the good and the bad is that nursechoice pays so much.. it is good to get paid alot.. but with the high pay and the very short contracts, they are mostly used in very bad situations... they were using them here on a floor that was shut down and forced to open because of demand and had no nurse manager or anything.. infact they had highered the two nurse choice nurses and pulled other nurses from the floor to cover the floor.. the two nurse choice nurses were the only staff on the schedule for a 20 bed floor.. ick ...it was a bad situation for the girls and i felt bad for them. i ended up helping them alot.. because the foor was alot like a MASH unit..

if it is your first assignment i wouldn't go with them.. because they are put into such high demand... emergency situations.. that usually no one else wanted to work.. but they money is better..

good luck
