Pay rates for ICU/CCU in Virginia. I am especially interested in pay rate for ICU/CCU in Richmond and Alexandria Virginia. If anyone knows of any good travel companies that pay above the normal rates for the previously mentioned cities, please send me the company information. FYI,
I was going to travel to northern virginia with medical staffing network. However, they offered me a (med-surg) position at one of the INOVA hospitals for 23$/hour! I decided against it, obviously. Since I am actually making a permanent move to the area, I found a local per diem agency that guarantees contracts and/or per diem work there. The recruiter told me I won't get paid less than 36$/hour. I know the hospitals are def. needing ICU trained nurses- just look on the INOVA websites under jobsearch. I would shop around with the different travel companies as I am sure you will get a great deal. Make sure you get a good rate, as the cost of living is somewhat high, especially good housing.
