    looking for California

1 year level one trauma center experience. Looking to work in ED, not specific about where I want to go but looking in California. Currently looking at a position in AZ, Private furnished apt, ALL utilities paid, including cable and furnished with a tv. Have a tax home so being offerred tax advantage, 500.00 month car allowance, (non-taxed). Healthcare 40.00 week. After all this 35.00/hour before tax advantage. Not 35 dollars calculated out from the tax advantage. Understand the tax advantage program fairly well. Would prefer to go to California first but can't get straight talk from a recruiter that can come close to matching what I'm being offerred in AZ. If you can come close please send me a message.

Please don't bother if you are going to quote me misleading hourly figure based on "thats the hourly rate before we deduct for housing, health, trans, etc. I am working as a staff RN in a level 1 trauma center and making over 30.00 hour with a very sweet living arrangement that costs me little. I have not really seen an offer that was financially advantageous as my regular job as much as I'd like to travel. If you do have a real possibility please feel free to respond with some specifics and I will get back to you.

the ED I would like to work in doesn't have to be a trauma center, I'm very open to work assignment as long as the pay and benefits are adequate. Thanks

I'm currently a travel nurse and I work with Medical Express through AMN Services. I HIGHLY recommend talking to Leigh Ross, a recruiter at Med Express. She's my recruiter and if there is a way to get you what you want, she's got it covered! Call her at 888-495-0251 and tell her Jessica D. told you to call. She got me from Florida to Washington state, and from WA now to San Jose in April. SWEET deal! $2500 housing allowance if I want to get my own place (which I do cause I need more space than an apartment!) AND, she can get you set up with a free 1 bedroom, I'm sure, and possibly a 2 bedroom which was what I was offered. Houses/townhouses there for 3 or 4 bedrooms run about $2200 and up, so my allowance is premium! Lots of jobs in CA! I'm a home hospice RN--and most agencies say they can't find any positions, but she has positions coming out her ears! Let me know if it works for you.

I am currently working on assignment in Northern Arizona in SDU and do not like it at all. I can't wait until this assignment is up. I am only getting 28/hr and my housing is 600 sq ft 1 bedroom furnised with a bed, dresser, lamp 2 barstools a love seat and cable for $1200. It's BS. If you can get the ED job in San Luis Obispo in CA I would go for it. They have 2 nice hospitals there. I am not sure which one she has open. I just finished an assignment that was 30 minutes North of there in ICU and it was great. I can't wait to get back To CA. We were 15-20 min from the beach. San Luis is a very "happening" little beachside upscale town with the downhome feeling. They have farmers markets each week and there are so many other areas to expore. You are about 4 hrs from San Francisco and 4 hrs from LA. I can't wait for the summer to get back out to CA, hopefully Santa Barbara or maybe even San Luis. I just recommend to stay away from AZ. I feel you would be much happier in CA unless you go to Phoenix and work in there Level 1 Trauma center where there are tons of murders and murder/suicides, child molesters and a very very high crime rate in all areas. I am in Flagstaff and even though the crime here is low, the pay and the hospital are way below standards. Donna:luck:
