The MacMurray College Division of Nursing will celebrate the opening of a new nursing technology center Wednesday.
The Barnum-Randall Nursing Education Technology Center, in the Norris Education Building, will be open for tours and demonstrations 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
“Over the past nine months, the addition of our new technology resources has transformed our students’ learning experiences,” said Dr. Jo Ellen Brannan, professor of nursing and chair of the Division of Nursing, in a press release Monday.
MacMurray recently brought in robotic “human” patients for students to work with, along with other technology that aims to provide students simulated critical situations “that they may not otherwise have the chance to experience during their actual hospital clinical observations,” Dr. Brannan said in the press release.
