    New member and new nurse

Hi! New grad and new nurse. Hope to get a job in a large ER. As a CNA and nurse extern I've worked in med surg, ER, ICU, and OB.

I hope I love being a nurse! I loved being a CNA. This is a second career for me. I was a lawyer in a previous life. I loved being a lawyer but missed the adrenaline rushes. So that's why I want to do ER and then maybe onto flight nursing.

I guess it's interesting. I was a CNA through college and then would work during the summer even through law school. I graduated from law school and got a great job in a great firm but I was working (no joke) 80-100 hours a week. I worked in legal defense just long enough to save enough money to live on while I went to school for BSN. Hey, if I get tired of nursing I can go back to law. You should have seen my friends and family when I told them I was giving up law to go to nsg school. They don't understand that it's not about the money for me.

:waving: Glad to have you with us, ekma! With your background, you can also go into Legal Nursing.

    Hope you drop by often!
