Question Vaccines effectiveness and longevity..Immuniztion nurses help with question or anyone

    Uggh!

I'm entering LPN school at the end of March. I've lost my immunizations record. They are not with my high school, drs or where ever. I am waiting on a facility to check my records.

Immunizations do not last in me. I've had 3 MMRs,childhood, teenage yrs and adulthood. Mostly likely if I titer for MMR.. it will not show. I'm going to get the MMR shot.

I received the varicella titer results back today, negative. TB is negative too,(good thing for me!)

I had the HBV shot in the 90's. I'm going to titer for it. I hope it shows in my system.

Does anyone know why vaccines do not have longevity? This could be related to my personal medical issues.

Does anyone else has these issues? i've tried goggling this situation. I cant find any info..

This is frustrating.. thanks for reading!

I'm surprised you didn't have a copy somewhere. When I had to hack, er cough, mine up for school, mom had a copy stashed away.

Maybe your medical issues do have something to do with not holding the immunizations.

This is the thought. I got a chixpox shot today. uggh!

My mom gave me my records. I've lost them in the great move of 2004! lol

I asked the dr today about this issue. She sd I might be one of those ppl who will not hold the immunizations. I'm hoping this one dr will call and say that they have my records.

I asked this question elsewhere. A person suggested that My titers are drawn in an empty tube. My blood might not like citrate.

I did not know medical records were destroyed w/i yrs of not seeing the dr.

Ours were put in 'storage': I know that mom had carted copies of our Med. Records when we moved 'way back', but now they microfiche. I'd called to ask 'just in case'.......
