Welcome to the Forum! It is great to have you.

The golden rule in any Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, Nursing, Medical exam is to Never second guess yourself.

Freud believed that the subconscious consisted of about 3x as much information as our consciousness did. My old nursing professor always told me when I was freaking out about an exam, that "You know more than you think you do."

Obviously, there must be a logical reason why the initial answer would pop into your head, almost as if your brain has created association triggers to systematically pull thoughts and ideas from your subconscious into your conscious, whether you are aware of it at the time or not.

    Welcome to the site, Ihorla!

I'd always been told 'go with your first thought/question' too. Good luck on the next try. When is that supposed to be?

    Re: Hello!!!!!!

If, I remember correctly the HESI I took in nursing school was more difficult than the actual NCLEX-RN.

It ain't how many times you fall but how many times you get back up!

    Good luck & welcome.

    Re: Hello!!!!!!

I still have my original HESI score report.

Congratulations, you have the mathematical background necessary to calculate dosages in nursing!

Congratulations, you have the yadda yadda.

I remember freaking out over whether or not the A & P on that test would be hard, because I took it when I was in A & P II. Boy, was I surprised at the ease of some of the questions compared to what we learned in A & P.

    Re: Hello!!!!!!

i gotta agree with RNmedic. i'm not a nurse (i haven't even started schooling for it yet... still just in the "looking to get into the field" phase), but throughout my academic career, which included seven friggin years to finally get around to getting my BA in communication studies, i've found that trusting your gut instinct in exams is usually the way to go. this probably isn't a fantastic thing to tell someone studying for anything in the medical field, but hell... there've been plenty of times where i didn't study all that much and just relied on my memory and my gut instincts and still came away with A's on tests.

so, just study up, try to relax and go for it again. i'm sure plenty of people on here will tell you that they had to take the HESI more than once.
