Welcome to the Forum! It is great to have you.
The golden rule in any Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, Nursing, Medical exam is to Never second guess yourself.
Freud believed that the subconscious consisted of about 3x as much information as our consciousness did. My old nursing professor always told me when I was freaking out about an exam, that "You know more than you think you do."
Obviously, there must be a logical reason why the initial answer would pop into your head, almost as if your brain has created association triggers to systematically pull thoughts and ideas from your subconscious into your conscious, whether you are aware of it at the time or not.
