    Smile Las Vegas Nursing

I am a student soon to be done with school.
I heard about 10 new hospitals were to open in Vegas. What are the best and worst to travel RN too?
I am trying to prepare for the future and want something to look foreward too.
    Thanks

Las Vegas doesn't have a very good reputation hospital wise. And their pay is low for travel nurses.

Remember you should have a the very minimium one year of expereince as an RN and if you are in a speciality such as ER or ICU you really should have 2 years of experience.

Good luck. pay your dues and never travel for less than $35/hr WITH bennies.

wow thank you so much. Is the ratio and treatment bad for the reason of new hospitals or what? :frustrated:
Can you elaborate a bit more.

can anyone tell me what the average pay is for travelors in iowa? with 1,000 a month housing allowance? and most of my gas is payed.. I was told I would get 27/hour.. and I have 15 years experience.. so thats 27/hour and 1,000 a month for housing.. does that seem right??

I am from Utah and know of several people who worked in Vegas or Mesquite because the pay was so much better than in Utah. But every single person hated it and moved back. I don't know specifics or which hospitals, but most said the patient nurse ratio was terrible and not worth possibly losing your license over.

That's pretty low... the housing seems about right, as housing in IA is super cheap, but when I was on assignment in Cedar Rapids, I was making 32/hour, plus free housing/utilities & travel reimbursement.
