A quarter of the residents at a Warrnambool nursing home have been affected by a flu outbreak.
Lyndoch Aged Care has about 200 residents and 48 have reported flu like symptoms.
The Chief Executive Officer, Rhys Boyle, says three residents and two staff are being treated in hospital.
He says about 15 per cent of his employees are off work because they have also shown symptoms of flu.
Mr Boyle says the nursing home has imposed restrictions to try to control the outbreak.
"We are limiting staff movements between areas, limiting residents movements, and also limiting access to visitors and volunteers to try to maintain the status quo and stop any further spread of the infection," he said.
