    How old is too old?

    Okay, here is my situation..

I am 34 years old male nursing student with one semester of nursing school under my belt. I am on a 2 year ADN, but as we all know, it will be more like 3. I will be 36-37 by the time I graduate and since travel nursing requires a good 2-3 years regular placement before starting to travel, I will be 39-40.

How old is too old for travel nursing? Will the hospitals even consider me?

    Hi Jigsaw,
It's never too old to nurse or travel nurse..
I've worked with alot of older travel nurses, mid 40's to 68 years old.
Hospitals are looking for qualified RN's, Not age...............
So, focus on nursing, enjoy it, and you can travel after at least 1 year of working, as long as you are comfortable and confident.

I was the 'old lady' in my BSN class. Put it this way, I was the only one to make the comment that Kennedy had Addison's Disease.

Remember, age is just a number. It's how we use it that makes things count.
