    first timer to travel RN

I am currently in the research stage of starting a new career as a travel nurse. I live in New York state. Not the city. I am located in the central part of the state. Syracuse, Binghamton.... I want my first assignment to be in the state of Florida. I have family all along the east coast and in Florida. Picking a company seems to be the most difficult part. I have reviewed the top companies as presented on Highway Hypodermics and have sent contact info to 5 companies so far. I chose her top 5. Anything anyone can tell me about travel nursing in Florida would be appreciated. One of my big concerns is housing. I do not want to live in an undesirable area or setting. Money and my living conditions are very important to me.
