Scott & White, kind of low paying for staff nurse. However great learning opportunity. Travel nurses used at times, at the new CCC off of kegley road.
Alright, so here's the thing.
I'm done w/ M/S... I've got my 2.5 years experience under my belt, its served me well, built a good foundation, but I've gotta get off the floors! :17:
My plan...
Take a travel assignment in central texas to start, then hire on as staff in their ER (the travel time on the floor will let me learn their system and methods before going into the ER...nice little transition)
I hear Scott & White has an excellent Level I Trauma ED :star:
Wondering if anyone has gotten a travel assignment there, whats the hospital like, and who your company is that staffs there?
Any help is appreciated!![]()

Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Into his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

So Alicia, did you ever go to Scott & White? I wish I'd seen this post earlier. My assignment at S&W was terrible. The worst hospital I've ever worked at. They did NOT value ANY of their employees, traveler or permanent staff. If you did, I hope that your assignment went better!
