Job Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: High School required, 1-2 years formal education in nursing required for walk-in-centers, 1-2 years formal education in medical assisting required for physician offices.
Experience: 3 years recent clinical experience in a multi-physician office, urgent care or ambulatory/outpatient setting.
Training:
Licensure: Florida nursing license required for walk in centers.
CMA-required for physician office. Certified Medical Assistant through the AAMA. (American Association of Medical Assisting)
Other: Communication skills and basic knowledge of computers required.

Job Summary:
Career Health Staffing Group is the Health System's in-house temporary staffing agency. Career Health works with LMHS departments to provide additional staff on an 'as needed' basis.
CHSG recruits employees who want and/or need a flexible work schedule.
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient flow and ensuring care is delivered safely, effectively and efficiently. This position is responsible for providing direct and indirect assistance to the physician and patient. The Clinical Coordinator responsibilities include direct patient care, phone triage of patient questions utilizing physician protocols, orientation and training of clinical support staff and functions as a role model and resource on clinical issues. This position assures the delivery of safe patient care, which meets the requirements of regulatory agencies and LMHS/Lee Physician Services policies and procedures. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing patient care, documenting patient information and assisting with procedures. This position is responsible for handling and administering all medications according to regulatory standards and LPS policy and procedure. Other responsibilities include data collection and documentation, maintaining medical records, performing phlebotomy as directed, processing lab specimens and the safe operation of medical equipment. This position provides patient education as directed by the physician. This position assists the manager/supervisor as directed with clinical issues. Early/late hours and/or weekends may be required.
