    Question newbie traveler

I am currently signed up with four different companies. 2 of them have submitted me to the same hospital, one of the companies is quoting other pay.I was honest and told the other company I had already been submitted by this other company, didn't name them, then the recruiter stated that this company hadn't already submitted me yet and quoted some rules that just didn't make sense. I just want the best contract I can get.I thought these companies compete with each other. What is the etiquette for this because I don't want to get any of these recruiters upset yet I want to be able to stick up for myself, don't really know what my rights are. Please , any advice welcome on how to deal with these companies.

Never allow 2 different companies submit you to the same hospital- it makes you look bad to the hospital.

Always compare pay rates & benefits first, then choose which company you want to submit you for the assignment.

It's OK to let a recruiter know you've spoken with a different company about the same assignment- often times, if another company is offering more $, you can use this as a bargaining chip to get a higher pay rate.

Only discuss money matters with recruiters- never with the hospital/unit manager. The hospital will pay pretty much the same rate for you regardless of which company you go through, it's all in how the travel company splits it up between pay, benefits, their profit, etc. So your pay will be determined by the travel company, NOT the hospital.
