? about RN doing Data Collection for Research

Hey Everyone,
I am new here and not sure if this has been asked before, but about 8yrs ago I was hired by a firm to do Data Collection at Cardiology offices pulling data like, Demographics, Meds, Lab Results and Such... They would send me a Laptop to put the data in on, and fly me to the Dr's Office and it would take about a week to get the amount a patient's data they needed. It appeared to me that they were studying the effects of certian lipid lowering drugs due to the stats and patient type. I am trying to find another job like that and have lost contact with the company I worked for before.

Does anyone have any thoughts as were to look to find a job like that now. I have been a nurse since 95 and worked in Step Down ICU for about a year, then Psych.

Thanks,
Hephaistion

Too bad you couldn't check your old income tax records for that one company.

Re: ? about RN doing Data Collection for Research

Yeah I thought of that but they are boxed up in a storage facility...I actually just interviewed at a local Dialysis Center yesterday after I posted this and that job looks to be perfect for what I am looking for as well.

I was just wondering about the Research/Data Collection, because Last time I found out through one of my wifes fellow workers. Since I have not been able to find anything posted about those type of PRN jobs. It was a great way to make quick cash. For a weeks work I would get about $2500 and this was back in '95 when pay was nowhere near what is now. I remember my first job out of school was about $13/hr on Step-down ICU with a BSN/RN. Pay has gone up double in last 10 yrs.

Thanks for the reply,
