Thanks for starting the daily Thread, MICU! Just flopped outta bed, and need the provided coffee, and badly.
Went to B&N last night; didn't quite 'shut the store down', but came close as usual. Didn't drink much coffee then, if you could believe it.
You cooking out today?
I still have to make the deviled eggs to take to moms boiled the eggs yesterday. DH is making beans and the brothers are going to grill...it's raining pretty good right now it should stop by noon then just be scattered showers.
Hello Cougar.
Yes, but I pre-cook my meats and like to put them in the over. Even when I do it on the grill, I still pre-cook my meats. I love it that way. I don't like hard burnt meats. Yuck.
In fact, I am cooking now. Thought I would come back and post, too.
You like barbeque?
Did you buy a book or do you read there. It is a good place to get a cup and enjoying reading.

Didn't buy a book; was just browsing. I did read some of Elizabeth George's latest in the Inspector Lynley series. I try to buy paperbacks....
We did some hot dogs and NY strip steaks; also grilled some onions to go with the steaks. Did a few deviled eggs, too, along with pasta salad. Heck, it'll feed the husband tomorrow. About the eggs....everyone has their own recipe as to how to make them. I say experiment!
Was supposed to work tonight, but got canceled because it was my extra shift. My last day is Wednesday night, then we're leaving Cali on Thursday to head to my next assignment in Iowa- will be driving through AZ, NM, TX, OK, KS, MO, & then to IA (lets hope there's no tornadoes in KS- we're spending a night in Wichita!).

If you'd have gone through Tulsa via I 44 a few years ago, I'd have told you to stop at Casa Bonita. It was a decent Mexican restraunt.
When DOES your next job start?
she's pretty good most of the time. She's still trying to get dad's stuff organized...she's been a packrat so there's lots of STUFF they'd been in the house 43 years....my brother moved back in with her and drives her nuts (he's going back to school AGAIN) and he quit his job yesterday he's a little on the anal side so he drive me nutty too![]()
