Re: Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

Well, I just found out that I am being evacuated from my apartment due to flooding. I have to be out of here in 3 hours. Luckily, my company saved the day & found a hotel to put me up in for the next few days.......

From what I heard, this is the 3rd wettest year in recorded history around here, 'Manda. so far, everything north is flooding, and I expect it to head down here reeeaaaal soon (like rivers aren't already over some....)

Keep us posted, eh? Wonder how Cassioo is.

Re: Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

I'm fine just tired from nights last night but I did sleep good today. My 21 yr old came over to do more yard work and took the 9 yr old to the pool for a couple of hours so it was quiet

The river is up here but not flooding as it is to the north we haven't had as much rain but it will come downhill. I walked the dog down to the river yesterday (8 blocks from the house). It's up and they've pulled the boat docks out (no ski boats out to hit debris) The backroad to work was still open when I came home this morning.

Peds called and wanted me to work there tonight I told them can't I'm working days tomorrow she said the house super said I could get off tomorrow from L&D but L&D says no way too many scheduled inductions and c/s don't know where the HS gets her info and we are a closed unit on L&D. I said if I'm not needed in L&D would rather just have off not working peds...sorry. I don't know why this hospital doesn't use travelers (DON says do you know how much that costs?) my thoughts are do you know how much it costs to pay so much overtime because everyone is working short????

Several years ago, the Ouiotenon River was so high, we had a re-enactment cancelled. Talk about mud..... And yes, I am sure it will head down stream.
