just curious
what is a nurse preceptor? or preceptorship?
i haven't gotten to that part in my classes yet. But i hear alot of nursing students talking about it. Some like it and some don't...said that got a preceptor...is that like a mentorship?

Kind of like a mentor- a lot of nusing programs require an internship of sorts- where you work for a certain number of hours with an RN preceptor. My school's internship was for the last 6 weeks of our program- for those weeks, I worked with an RN preceptor in a hospital for 24 hours/week.
