Well, it's Wednesday; enough said. Hope you all are doing well thus far. I slept in, surprisingly, and (of course!) am on my way for that first cup of coffee.

Hey there,

Thanks Cat, my wilted everything is looking foreward to it. It's been so hot here that the pool water is almost too warm, but at least it's wet. The ocean water is certainly cooler but these days, we don't go anywhere near the beaches until sunset when the umbrella count drops off.

Our days of crowd battling are long over and the kids don't like it either. Summer jobs waiting on tourists have taken away their rose colored glasses and they're counting down the days until the Labor Day Exodus.

Years ago, after Labor Day, we experienced an almost ghost town effect. Now it's only a brief reprieve until the "leaf-peepers" come which is followed soon after by ski season. I suppose it's a sign that the economy is recovering because those tourist dollars have been pouring in all summer long. My wife and I grew up in a resort area and ironically, relocated to a different one. What were we thinking?? It sounds like I'm complaining but I'm really joking. It's actually not that bad or maybe we're just used to it.

Ah well, it's time to start thinking about dinner. Something on the grill, I think.

Working the next two days so I'm hitting the sheets early tonight.

I am NOT looking forward to Monday: have a MANDATORY meeting at 2 (and guess what time I start?!) That is going to cut into EVERYTHING! Plus, there is other sh*t hitting the fan.

We had some pretty bad rain here; more due in later. Maybe it will be less 'intense' when it gets out your way?
