How can you tell if a company is any good to work for over the phone? They hound you like crazy and then if you ask for something in addition like a rental car they don't call you back. How easy is it to get 12 hr. shifts spread out every other day with weekends off? Probably asking for too much. Any comments or opinions appreciated.
If you don't trust your recruiter on the phone, or if they don't return phone calls- find another company- you need to have a recruiter you can trust & who you are comfortable with. Check out the review section of this site to see what others have to say about various companies. As far as your schedule requirements, you're probably going to have a hard time finding an assignment with no weekends- most require every-other or every third weekend.
I have not experienced the hounding phone calls. That must be sooo frustrating!
I am with Travel Nurse Across America (TNAA) and really like them. They are prompt to return phone calls and emails. My recruiter is nice and able to answer most of my questions and if she doesn't kow, she'll put me in touch with the right person.
