Well, we've started a new month. Do you realize that means Chrismas is getting closer?!

Hope you all have a great day; I'm stepping out for a while, and will be back sometime this afternoon.

Halloween in the ER is always an adventure- TONS of obnoxious drunks last night, bar fights, lacerations, medical clearances (one of whom got tased after trying to take a swing at me)... Now I have three days off in a row!

Gotta love those type of folks. In a way, guess it guarantees our job. Good thing no Full Moon!

I remember during Clinical, the Day Care kids trooped through the unit I was on.

Re: Saturday, November 1st, 2008

thanks for the time reminder I knew it yesterday but forgot today
I got in bed at 8 this morning and woke up about noon. Checked my phone and my son (9 yr old) had called...he and DH aren't coming until tomorrow now DH has found all kinds of things that needed done (and have needed done for the last 10 years LOL) and it's my brother b-day and mom made plans for them. Walked on the beach a couple of hours after I got off the phone. Not a big exercise walk but it's bettern then nothing. There's a triathalon in town today...they started swimming at 7 this morning then got on the bikes...the running should be coming past me anytime now so not going to try and get out and drive anywhere as part of the road will be blocked but going to sit on the deck with a book and watch.

Work is good, pretty good bunch to work with very helpful to the new girl.

Geez, Cass....I'd be watching the fools go by. Mind you, a friend of mine is a long distance runner. Me...short distance sprinter. We were just talking about the runs she used to do.

Huge bar fight got broken up by PD, they bring in like 8 people for lacerations, head injurys, and medical clearance. This guy had kicked out the window of the cop car, so they had pepper sprayed him, and needed medical clearance. Brought him in cuffed & hobbled, as they released the cuff to attach it to the bed, he swings his arm back, to where I was standing, I ducked, so I didn't get hit, but when PD comes at him, he spit at them, so cop pulls the taser, I back up and hit the wall, and dude got tased for being out of control & for spitting. It was quite excellent.
