Good morning, all; it's Saturday 7/7/07. Hope it's a good day for all of you.

I'm up early again. Guess it's the impending hot weather that is doing it. Not sure, though.

I slept late but then went to bed late also after working nights the past 3 nights....now I have to go in today 3-7 (I hate going for 4 hours it's 27 miles one way) My mother took my dad to the hospital last night so had to run over there and help her get him out the door the was up late calling my brothers and aunt to keep them updated he was really feeling bad yesterday and I was more worried about mom. She's held it together pretty good and wont' take much help and tries to do too much. The FP made a house call yesterday before they left and as he was leaving suggested it might be time to get hospice and that's what upset her I don't think she's ready to hear that (not that I am either) but it probably is getting to be time for some relief. I called one of the ladies from her church who said she's tried to get her to let them help more but she says she's fine. I'm fine at work too until somebody says's "how's your dad?" then I'm not fine for a while ... gotta jump in the shower and go by their house and bring in the mail and paper etc etc.

Cass, sorry to hear about Dad. I am a firm believer in Hospice..... I've worked LTC for quite some time, and it is a God send. Unfortunately, there are those who do not truly understand it. I wish you the best.
