Lots of flooding here in Cedar Rapids, IA. The road around the corner from our house is closed due to flooding, not good! Hopefully our road will be OK so we can still get in & out of here!

The rivers over here are riding the banks due to all the rain from 'up north'. Years ago, we had water over I-55; NOT a nice sight.
I work 7p tonight YUCK. I stayed up until about 5 this morning hoped to sleep most of the day but the phone woke me at 9. Laid around for a couple more hours then got up. going to leave in a little while and stop at the store and tanning bed before work...not getting off the census is low but the others scheduled is 1 just out of orientation, a per diem nurse and an LPN so I have to go in. Oh well I really hope it does pick up some slow nights make it worse. I have a book to take but that will make it wors also.
Sunny here also. I've had my 21 yr old coming over the past couple of days to get some work done....told him the money train stops unless he does something for it...he's laid off and no school in the summer.
I live in Indiana around where all the flooding has been happening. A lot of my friends have lost their houses and everything in the flood. We can not get flood insurance on houses here because we are not in a flood zone so they really lost everything! Please pray for them and all the others who have been devastated by this tragedy. The two closest hospitals are closed d/t the flood so all the patients had to be transferred out. I would like to ask for you to pray for them and their families also in this very difficult time. Thanks so much!

Will do! What river was the culprit? The Wabash?
You are not going to believe this but no we have no rivers around. It was just standing water! There were little man made lakes in housing additions that flooded Johnson Memorial Hospital and Columbus Regional. They both wound up having 4 feet of water on the first floor. It was like nothing I have ever seen! I am sure you probably seen it on the news. It reminded me of New Orleans. There were people in boats and everything! Crazy! Thanks for your prayers!
