Yeah, starting the Daily Thread a bit early; I am going to be up early and out of here early. Hope you all have as great a Monday (!) as you can possibly have.

It's 11pm Sunday night and I'm still up I have to work 7am-7pm tomorrow and have to get up at 5 so why am I still up messing around???

Played an excellent trick on the night shift as we left Sunday night they chased me out and told me they would get me back...told them even on their best day they aren't as good as me on my worst....they'll probably try something in the morning....good idea girls get me the next day when I'm looking for it instead of waiting a few weeks or a month LOL

We put fake names on the board and made the doc the one we don't like to work with and said he was covering for the one we like who is busiest then even made charts, told them the computers were down, shut the doors and gave them report with some really bad dx that you don't want this one doc to ever handle...told them we couldn't find the prenatal records, they were hunting through the drawers, they "got the computers up LOL" then were looking for the patients there, they asked us questions about the "patients" which we gave good answers too..yes I started their antibiotics, she's 16 years old 27 weeks pregnant contractions every 2-3 and 5 cm, on Mgso4 blah blah blah....then I had my brother call and let them answer and had him even ask for one of the "patients"....after I was changed and ready to leave they asked me if I'd chart something on the back of a flowsheet that I'd left blank....I wrote ha ha ha ha and gave it back then walked away and said read that and see if you think I charted enough LOL then they chased me out the door.....little things amuze me sometimes Read the what patient say for the quote of the day

Have to inservice 11-7 shift, so......here I am, up at an ungodly hour.

Blah! I am home,and still have a major headache. Excedrin just ain't cutting it. Must be the weather front heading this way.

had a really busy day at work then at 7pm while I was giving report my husband called and told me to come to another hospital as they'd taken my dad in by ambulance so we just got home (12am) he's not really any better and I think a bit worse then when he left the hospital last Wed lots of lower edema (he has stage 4 prostate ca) they are going to try lasix and albumin tonight then maybe another lung tap in the next day or so. I'm off till Wed unless I don't go in...and my in-laws who haven't been here for almost 2 years decide Wed is the day they are coming..I'm not cleaning any house
