Well, I've come to find that SANITY is way overated. I took my NCLEX in the fall of 1993, one of the last paper tests. After the first several hours of testing I really felt as if I could have failed it or passed it. I felt the same way several hours later when the test was done. I studied, and studied, and then studied some more, I was an adult student (29) with a previous degree. I was not a stranger to nursing growing up with one.
In nursing school we even had a higher grade standard than any other college, you know 92% was a B etc. I strongly felt that after giving up four years of my life, pinching pennies, taking out student loans etc.,that I deserved ,and I paid for an education that I did not get. I was a strong B+ student and I had no idea if I passed or failed. This experience was not unique as I spoke with classmates, and its not the way it should be either.
