3-11 shift! Yuk, that is my least favorite shift. Do you like that schedule?

Re: Good morning! December 9th, 2006

Vast majority of my 7 + years at my facility has been 3-11. Yeah, I also did 3 'tours' of 11-7. I HATE 7-3 (or 8-4); I like getting up on my OWN time, not to a buzzer. Did that too much while going to school. Sooo....getting stuff done here, too.

Re: Good morning! December 9th, 2006

I work mostly 7a-7p, but sometimes have to do 7p-7a [the next two weeks, in fact] and can understand your benefit of not waking to the alarm clock. If I were single, I'd consider working 7p-7a the majority of time. I've done that schedule in years past. However, that schedule can be hard on the body.

Have a great day!

Are the 7-7 shifts very difficult? It seems more common around here to have those than the 3-11.

Re: Good morning! December 9th, 2006

Well, if someone calls off for an 8 hour shift, I'd stay over untill the boss comes in, or until someone can come in. If someone would call off for a 12 hour shift, ain't no way I could work 24 straight....

But.....with 12 hour shifts, you can work MORE hours, but less days, know what I mean?

Yeah, with the other jobs I have had I have worked 16 to 18 hour shifts. But with that I was able to have more money. It was more like overtime than having more days off. hehe
