We home school our kids so "school" is out whenever we reach 165 days. Our college student finished three weeks ago. R |

Mood: | Re: Friday, June 12th, 2009 There's been alot of flack about home schooling out here, in that parents don't have the 'background' in everything. I see it as: I pay taxes, so send the kids off, and get them outta my hair. Have noticed the amount of time spent in school has drastically shrunk since my grade school days. |

I'd feel the same way if the school system wasn't deplorable. We started homeschooling because our son is dyslexic and the school system couldn't handle it. The other two have done exceedingly well too, as a result of being challenged to their ability and having the opportunity to pursue their special interests. R | |
