It's Friday...again! So many Holidays close together made it a bit of a mess.

So what's going on? Anything? What did you all do yesterday?

Happy New Year!!!!
Hope everyone is doing ok. I had traded another traveler to work 12/31 because she asked and it was ok with me but that morning she called and said she didn't want to trade anyway..ok fine with me we won't and I called the charge nurse and told her we weren't trading (we'd just agreed to that morning when we got off) well at 7:30pm I get a call that she didn't show up so I told them I'd come in got there at 8 and she called right after that and said she'd over slept did I want her to come in so I said yes come on so she got there at 10 and I left. (she's already on thin ice I hear) so I watched the fireworks from my upstairs balcony and went to bed just after 12....
I had finished my big book finally YIPPY now I have another I'm 1/2 through.... did my walk yesterday and read then we went to lunch and I went to Borders because I have a coupon...after i walked around a couple of hours I decided NO I will not pay full price for a book when I have a bunch to read anyway with me.
Today I got up and did my walk for 2 hours, came home and read some and did laundry then my son and I went to the beach for 1 1/2 hours now just reading mail. DH has gone to the store and going to stop by where we ate yesterday and get me some of the seafood gumbo I had for lunch yesterday YUMMY...going to finish another book tonight. I have a little screwy schedule this week work tomorrow night then off Sunday and work Monday night....I don't know if I'd posted her or not but they have me being a preceptor next week which I think is a little funny since I haven't even been here 12 weeks yet but the NM told the charge nurse that I'd be fine to do it..it is a new nurse but she's been through day shift orientation all I have to do is get her into the night routine and be a resource person for any clinical type questions she might have (yea I can do that)

Am on my way to San Antonio for my next assignment- we are spending the night in Tallahassee tonight, then off to Louisiana tomorrow....

Get some jambalaya for me, hear? Speaking of which, there's a little restraunt up my way that is pure Cajun food. Whoo-hee! Good stuff, I tell ya.

Well, it's nearly that time. Got 2 windows getting replaced in the morning. About time!
