| Your Best Cry This may sound strange, but my favorite cry was after an adult code. I only had <1year in er. We had two codes in the ER going at one time. I was running one of them and the doctor was in another room. Well the dr gave me that code to run because he was just about DOA. I finally got the doc in there to pronounce, then he asked me to talk to the family. He was still in the other code. Well I went into the family room and there sat this little old lady that I knew well from taking care of every member of her family. I say down and looked at her and broke down crying. The little old lady put her arms around me and said, "It's OK I know he is dead." Here this poor old lady's husbands dead and I burst into tears trying to tell her. That is too funny now. I learned later she was relieved he had died. I found out he was vary abusive to her and she was scared to death of him. |

Right now there is a co-worker who at 14 weeks (after 3 miscarriages) had some rectal bleeding (24 yrs old) has stage 4 colon CA. She has a colostomy now & is about 30 weeks now I can hardly take care of her and she's so cheerful. |
