I can't believe they make ER nurses where white. In fact I can't believe hospitals are making nurses where white at all.

GIVE US A BREAK!!!!!!!!!

I've worked both on staff and agency for several different staffing companies in New Jersey, Texas. As long as you are neat and professional, I've never been required to wear white in eight years of practice.

Considering the bodily fluids and other potential messes we face every day, requiring white is more than a bit unreasonable.

We went back to white in the last year or so except for L&D/pp we wear a supplied machine tool gray hospital supplied scrub as does ER. ICU voted and got scrubs all of the same color (I think a blue) but everyone else is in white with peds being able to wear peds tops.... The patients still call housekeepsers, resp, cardio techs, and our CSTs all nurse though.
