Where did you graduate from Nursing? Hey guys! First time here. Great forum. Can't believe I only found it just recently. Anyway, just wondering where you guys got edu-ma-cated. Me? Biola University in CA. 5 year BSN program (sheesh!) It took me 6 years though because I'm a transfer. Only male in the class with a graduate of 23 people (we started out with 30). Done in 1998. Boy that first year of nursing school was a doozy. They really weed you out! But they calm down after they realize that you're here to stay. You?

Re: Where did you graduate from Nursing? Baptist School of Nursing, a good diploma program here in Arkansas. But I do have 120 credits from the University of Hawaii where I majored in "trivial pursuits" (Lib arts), or I also called it my ****tail degree.

Re: Where did you graduate from Nursing? Hey! I resemble that remark... I went to University of Hawaii on GI Bill after getting out of the Navy. After 5 years they kicked me out with a BA in "Group Dynamics", a major I invented. 6 years later when I discovered I actually needed a marketable skill, I went back to UH and got a 2 year RN degree. Best long term plan I've ever had! It was tough but not nearly as bad as the horror stories I've heard about other nursing schools. The instructors, for the most part, were not sadistic and actually wanted to help us succeed!

Re: Where did you graduate from Nursing? I graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1994 with an Associate degree in nursing, then from Rutgers University with a BSN in 2004. I originally wanted to teach, but when I found out what the starting salaries are for a prof with a PhD, I decided to stay clinical.
