I completely agree with you. It is like he is trying to elicit some sort of defense mechanism out of us. Basically he is trying to tell us that women should be subservient to their partners which he knows will not go over well here. I find these acts rather childish and not worthy of any further responses from me.

Re: Too Indpendent? Could be a turn off

I will no longer dignify this persons childish attempts to start fights and discord on this board I do though have one thing to say.

A Godly man who truely believed what the the passage in the link provided would not have had unmarried sex, nor would he then not marry the mother of his child. And last but not least his pride would never allow him to send this poor girl out to work. For this type of senario where men take care of their women It is a given that the man "Takes care of his womnn". This means loving sheltering protecting........ not treating her as a maidservant.

I am a devoted Christian and have read and studied the bible as a religious, historical and work of liturature. When reading the Bible one must realize that words in the bible do not have the same meaning as they do in today's world. the word submit as in submit to your God or submit to your husband mean not to become a slave but rather submit yourself to another's loving protection.

Peace and Namaste
