Re: Stallone backs use of HGH

People will convince themselves of anything to try and make it true. He is kidding himself, but more he is sending a very bad message to a lot of kids and others...are we really that surprised?

Re: Stallone backs use of HGH

I remember one kid in High School nearly getting HGH, as he was nearly 16 and hadn't grown. But at whatever age this guy is? And all for a career? Yeesh! And what about future problems? If he's taken it before, can it affect his kids? BTW....doesn't his one son have some problems?

Re: Stallone backs use of HGH

He is 61 I think and obviously not too smart! How many athletes have died or suffered brain tumors and the like due to steroids and other 'enhancement performing' drugs? Again, great example...

Re: Stallone backs use of HGH

I tend to disagree with you guys a little bit on this one.

HGH is a lot different than steroids.

There's a built in bias against it because of steroids and really, you can't quite classify it as a steroid.

I think if used properly, HGH has many "potentially" valuable properties.

I've read a lot of articles on the topic. Some people use it in very small amounts every single day and have for years without any ill effects.

When abused or used improperly of course you are going to see serious problems, but that goes for all drugs.

Re: Stallone backs use of HGH

Valid point...but I really thought is was used for people with growth (pituitary) disorders, not body building. I still think he is sending the wrong message. I don't think anything is gained without a little hard work

Re: Stallone backs use of HGH

That is true, Kel. You have it, or you don't. And at 61? Oh, I know that '40 is the new 30', but it may all boil down to the movie/money/etc.

Aaron, I see you mention 'potentially' valuable properties. However, we are not sure what. If anything should happen due to use of the HGH, it may not be directly linked yet.

Re: Stallone backs use of HGH

I think people should stop listening to celebrities since they aren't the experts they claim to be ie: exercise, diet, fashion, medicine, child rearing, mental health, money matters, marriage etc etc etc.
Sylvester Stallone has been hit in the head too many times

Human growth hormone (HGH): Does it slow aging process? - MayoClinic.com

Here is the link to the Mayo Clinic article on the use of HGH outside the normal patient population that it is normally used for.
Very interesting
