Re: spanish for health professionals

I have never seen any actual programs, just books. The title of the book is actually Spanish for Healthcare Professionals. I do have the CDs that teach you how to speak spanish, but I'm not sure that's what you're looking for.

Re: spanish for health professionals

I'm confused...you're looking for CDs on how to speak spanish? They are not geared towards healthcare professionals. If that's what you're interested in then I can sell you mine because I do not use them. If you are looking for the book, I believe that I purchased it at a Barnes and Noble locally. Do a search for Spanish for HealthCare Professionals and it should come up. It didn't cost that much money....$20 around there.

God Bless.

Wink Re: spanish for health professionals

Over the years I have picked up a fair amount of pidgin Spanish just in taking care of my patients. It's amazing what you can learn. What I did was zero in on those co-workers - Dr.s, Nurses and yes housekeeping staff to learn some general Spanish. I can coach a Spanish Speaking woman through labor. Which the staff thinks is really funny since I am as white as they come.I had a book called Spanish for Health Professionals that was the biggest waste of money. I'd save my money if I were you, and just let anyone and everyone where you work and also friends that you want to learn Spanish. Then be willing to learn. I have a friend and we go out for coffee sometimes and speak only in Spanish. It was really funny at first - it's fun now! My next language I'd like to get familiar with is Armenian.

I know that some Community Colleges have classes for Health Care Professionals. Keep an eye out for that....
