| Someone Please Help I Got An Important Question!!?? I used to be CNA in a long term care facility. There was a resident who suffered from dementia and I spilt water on her when I was working the midnight shift by accident. She said I dumped it on her which I honestly didn't. Her son came in to see her the next morning and she told him that I had dumped water on her. Well naturally he was furious and went to the higher ups. I was suspended and I ended up losing my CNA license. I sent in my letter of appeal and the state said that they never got it and that my time had expired to appeal it and there was nothing I could do. This was 4 years ago. I love the health care field and I love taking care of people. I would never intentionally hurt anyone. I had family members of other residents that I took care of and co-workers tell me that if there was anything they could do to help me they would. Which made me feel good. I went through a bad depression and just left at the words of the state "your time is up there is nothing you can do". My dream was to be a nurse and I still want to be a nurse I was actually in school at the time finishing my generals to go into the RN program. What I want to know: I am from Indiana and I want to be a nurse..can I be one even though I had my CNA license revoked?? Someone please help!! |

| Re: Someone Please Help I Got An Important Question!!?? What a bad break. If you are really serious about becoming a nurse you need to hire a lawyer that specializes in helping nurses. Usually the state nurse's association will have a few referrals or maybe you can go through legal aid for your state. It is too important to let a freak accident damage your credibility. It is expensive to hire a lawyer but worth it. |
