Recent Graduate in Psych, wanting to go back for N

Hello, I am in a bind, I have recentlty graduated from a 4 year college with my BA, in Psychology. I did not follow my heart and decided to nix the nursing idea. However, I work in a hospital now and my heart is set on nuring and I know this is what I want to do. My problem is I don't know what would be the best route for going back to school for nursing should I go to a community college or a 4 year college. Please give me any advice that you can.
    Thanks, Billie

Scientists working for the Department of Energy have tried to form oil using

far all they have managed to do is run up an enormous bulldozer-rental bill
and anger a lot of Middle Eastern persons. None of the animals turned into
oil, although most of the laboratory rats developed cancer.

Re: Recent Graduate in Psych, wanting to go back for N

I agree, the previous posts were not much help. I hope this may be of some value.
I graduated 12 years ago with my BSN and wouldn't change a thing. However, when I talk to people who are interested in the field, I generally advise them to go for the short degree as an entry level. You can always go back and get the other if you want to and often employers will help you with the money. This is especially true for you. Do you really need another bach. degree? Also something to consider, many universities are offering short courses to your BSN if you already have the degree. My alma mater offers a program which allows you to get your BSN in a year and a summer when you have a degree in anything else. I imagine it would be quite intense but don't worry about not learning enough in that time, most of what you actually do you learn on the job (having the proper foundation, of course.) Hope this helps some.
