Salary...

Hi,
I am thinking of becoming a nurse, but I really don't know what a nurse's salary is. What is the salary of a nurse with a Bachelor's degree? What is the salary of a nurse with a Masters degree, or does is depend on what your salary is, by what area of the hospital you work in?
Thanks for all of your help.

Re: Salary...

Most staff nurses work hourly.. Not salary.. Some specialities pay a little more but not much. Pay rates depend more on seniority and area of the country..But areas that pay better have a higher cost of living. Even some with high costs of living don't pay all that well..i.e. Hawaii.

I got not one thin dime for my BSN..I know another nurse in the hospital where I used to work who got a nickel .05 cents an hour when she got her BSN..

You might try a search on google or such with the header Nurse Salary to see what you find..

WR,,, three commas for Becca

I figured it out the other night ..I got a 62% increase when I went to traveling...

Re: Salary...

New RN grads that work for the hospital system that I work at, start at $17 and some change. From what i understand, our system pays new grads the highest, now i dont know if thats dollars more or a few cents more.
