RNC I went and took my RNC exam for inpatient OB today and passed. There are only about 20,000 RNC in inpt OB nation wide I don't know how much I passed by but I did. It only took about an hour to take then I got half way through reviewing the answers and said forget it and submitted the answers. I figured if I pass I do if not I don't but I did YIPPY...now that could be a 7% raise bigger YIPPY now going to do ACLS this summer. I just live for punishment ![]()

Re: RNC What does RNC stand for? Registered Nurse C....? ACLS is not that tough. If you can read an EKG 12 lead understand basic emergency cardiac drugs then you have about 80% of it done already. There is a LOT more to it of course, but if you know the algorithms and understand the intervention rationales then you will do fine.

Re: RNC it's RN certified I can read 12 lead and know the drugs just doing the class. You can get RNC in several areas it's just like boards kind of but all the questions are in your area but being national there might ask about drugs used in Calif and you work in New York where something else is the norm. But you have to know all the normal labs for women, for pregnant women, for scalp samples, cord blood samples, neonatal just real intense. I feel better about it all the time I like to get above that 90% in everything so will be interested in seeing what the numbers are in 3 weeks when I get that breakdown. Now I've agreed to have a clinical group for OB and peds at the local college...I get myself into stuff all the time...the boss did have a pizza party for me today There are about 20,000 RNC in teh country in inpatient OB so not too many.
