| Physicians employed by Nurses? I ran across an interesting situation a couple months back. I met a CRNA who headed a group of other CRNAs. I'm in Florida where I was told that a physician must act as medical director for CRNAs. This CRNA had hired a doctor (a surgeon) for the position of medical director for his organization. I also met the surgeon and discussed it briefly. He had nothing but positive things to say about the arrangement. So here we have a situation where a physician is working for a nurse. It's an upside down situation from a conventional viewpoint. Personally I find it very encouraging. Anyone know of similar arrangements? |
