P.A. vs. Nursing?

I want to go back to school either for nursing or to be a P.A.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to which career will pay better, offer flexibilty, and have the most options regarding area of specialization?

Big difference between nursing and being a P.A.........need more data to help give advice on this subject......being a P.A. in the military is great.....being a P.A. in the civilian world depends on who you work for........what are your career goals in life? :39:

Healthnut.....according to your career goals nursing will get you what you want.......P.A.'s careers can be rewarding but they are very limited.....being a nurse practitioner would probably be a better way to go......nursing is almost unlimited.......you can make over 100,000 a year in nursing if you want......you can be a CNO or CEO......you can be a nursing director and make over a hundred thousand a year if money is important........if you are flexible and wllling to move to different states the opportunities are really unlimited in nursing.....be consistent.....be nice and don't get upset and lose your temper with people......be the person everyone can count on especially administration...:luck:

Re: P.A. vs. Nursing?

If you're looking for more about nursing, there's a good site I've run into called Featured Schools - Online Nursing Schools and Programs Nursing Programs – Search Top Nursing Schools and Programs. It has summaries of nursing careers all the way from CNA up to MSN and PhD. I hope it helps, although navyjim definitely has the advice part covered.
