Online nursing Regulations

I am a second year nursing student & I need help researching laws & regulations for online nursing programs. Our school currently started an online LPN to RN program. Several of the second year students including myself believe that we are being discriminated against. The program & students are given the same handbook that we are & one of the objectives in it states that the student must complete all work, assignments, and tests in a timely manner. However, toward the end of this last semester we witnessed several of the LPN online students taking 3 & 4 tests to get caught up before the end of the semester. IS this Fair???? I would like some input. I would also like to find a site for the Ohio board of nursing regarding this topic.

Thank you

Re: Online nursing Regulations

It all depends on how the course is set up and the faculty running the course. All courses that are approved by the NLN (applies to almost all schools of nursing) have to meet state requirements for curriculum and topics to be covered.

You can contact the Ohio Board of Nursing here.

State of Ohio Board of Nursing

(614) 466-3947 • FAX: (614) 466-0388

Hope you can find some answers.
