Nursing Externships in summer 2005

Hello all nurses and future nurses. As a newcomer on this website and forum, I had a question for all of you out there. I am a student nurse in Michigan. I am looking (yes I know it's a year away)for an externship/internship in another state. If any of you know of any, I would love to hear from you!
Hope everyone's summer is off to a great start!!!!

I'd start looking at your school by asking your advisor.

Internships are usually posted at the school itself. You can also try contacting the National Student Nursing Association http://www.nsna.org and

Professional Nursing Organizations

Intern and Externships are becoming more common as facilities increase their recruitment efforts.

Re: Nursing Externships in summer 2005

I know that I am not the original poster, but thanks Andrew for the links and advice on where to look. I will probably look for an externship next Summer as well, but I need to stay in the area.

Aimers, I have talked to the students at school that just completed Nursing II and asked about where they are working this year. A lot of them are already LPN's but the ones that are not have given me tips on where to look. If you could perhaps get in touch with any of them, MOST of them are willing to help you. Good luck!
