Red face Need suggestions for topics.

I am looking for topics of interest to develop into continuing education courses. Particularily psyche, interventional radiology, and med/surg. However, any suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Re: Need suggestions for topics.

it depends on how in depth you want to go with your inservice. You can go as simple as a "reminder" inservice on how to asses a certain kind of patient things can get lax when it's an everyday thing... inservice a new medication or piece of equipment. A high risk procedue that isn't done often, an everyday procedure that could be done better. a patient population age, gender, culture

Re: Need suggestions for topics.

I agree, pick a target audience and think of things they see but not on a daily/weekly basis.

On a medical surgical floor, accessing ports with non-coring huber needles is something we all should know, but unless we do it on a regular basis, we forget.

Care of PICC lines, Hickman's, Groshongs, you can have a field day with IV therapy alone

Can you tell us who you're planning on writing the continuing education courses for? That would help us give you advice.
