    New nurse student feeling outnumbered.

****o all, new student nurse here. Out of a class of 75 there are 4 males, seriously not enough testrione in the room. What is the deal with the uniform shops? 98% of the store is for women and we get one little bar in the back. I wear a size fourteen shoe and the school is very strict about what type of shoe we wear, if anyone has any good ideas of where to find them please let me know.

    outnumbered

What type of shoe does the school want you to have?
I think with the growing number of males that are now entering the nursing field there will be more of a supply to meet the demand. Did you ask the uniform store (schools normally recommend several stores) if the shoes could be ordered?

    Cool

 I'm in the same boat as you. In a class of 84, there are 5 guys. But in time u get use to it. As for scrubs and shoes, I sugest you shop online. Hope classes are going well.
