my class had nursing tshirts made.....

Well, here's what happened.
We decided tshirts would be a great fundraiser for our chapter of NSNA at school. We had a lot of ideas for a design, and we had a vote. One idea won unanimously! We took the idea to class, and asked what the other students thought. No opposition, in fact, most students thought it was really cute! So, we continued though the normal chain of command...instructors love it, the school PR guy, the dean of students...then the design hung in the office for three monthes while we fundraised to have them printed.
They were printed and while I was hanging the final shirt on our bulletin board the head of the nursing dept came out and told me that we cannot sell the shirts!!
I guess she didn't know it would have the school logo on it (this is the first I'd heard of that, it was on the design the whole time) and she said it would be fine if we removed the logo.
We'll we did, it cost more money and time and we sewed patches over the logo. Once it was done, more people like the design then before, the patches are soo cute!
I guess she didn't think we would do it?? (I don't know what is going on!) because she still said we couldn't sell them...well, I found out the school is trying to get a $5 million bond and since we're bible belt, it was decided it's too risky to offend someone (although everyone I talked to thought it was really cute, but the dept head thought it was possible that someone somewhere may be offended)
I hate POLITICS!
So, now we're petitioning to be allowed to make up our lost money, but I was told it would be fine to sell the shirts outside school and to the students in our program.
So, the question is...does the shirt offend you??

Re: my class had nursing tshirts made.....

I had one of the co-ed naked nursing shirts but then the class wasn't selling them I got it at the store. I think the nursing director at the school where I teach clinicals wouldn't go for that shirt either. I really don't wear any nursing t-shirts anymore.
