| RN pay for new grads in Mississippi run from 16.50/hr to 20.00/hr depending where you work. Shift diffs run from 1.50 to 4.00/hr again depending on facility. My facility gives 20 cents a year for experience (I think) but with a cap. Laurel and Hattiesburg seem to pay better than Jackson. I don't know about North Mississippi. Hope that helps: |

| Re: Mississippi RN pay Salaries in Vicksburg Ms vary widely. I know nurses that have been with the same hospital for over 25 years that aren't making much more than 20/hr. I was offered $ 28/hr and I have 30 yrs critical care experiences. Working conditions and staffing ratios are awful. You might be charge nurse on a 32 bed telemetry/stepdown unit and have 6-7 patients of your own and be covering the IV pushes and IV hangs and IVPB for an LPN on another hall. |
