Spend a full day Immersing yourself in a Medical Spanish workshop. Your course of study will address the following: greetings and taking basic patient information, giving directions/explanations while doing a full physical exam and diagnosis and providing instructions for further care.

We use interactive materials and role-plays to practice vocabulary and usage of body parts, organs, symptoms, complaints, diseases, treatments, medical instruments, interviewing, and giving "commands". In addition to rigorous vocabulary and Spanish language skill-building for medical settings, cultural sensitivity and learning to understand the cultural contexts of the Latino patient are themes throughout the Workshop.

Medical 1 (Beginner - Intermediate Spanish speakers) offered:
September 18, November 6, and December 4.

Medical 2 (Intermediate - Advanced) offered: December 5.

COST: $180 includes all materials and lunch. 8 CEU's are available for nurses for an additional $30.
