| Massachusetts Nurses Hi, my name is Remi P. and I am an RN from Fargo, ND. I joined this forum because my wife and I will be relocating to MA this summer and I am currently looking for a job in the Amherst/Springfield area. I am unsure at what clinics to look at, and what kind of salary to ask for. While I am quite aware of the increased cost of living from Fargo, ND to MA I am not sure how RN wages make up for this difference and what kind of pay to expect when applying. I do not want to sell myself too cheaply. Personally, I have worked in healthcare (LTC & Psych) for a 7 years, have functioned as an LPN in a rehab facility as a nurse supervisor for one year and just recently graduated from a RN program. I have a BA in Psych. I am looking for opportunities where I can either start in ICU or have the opportunity to transition within. If any of you have worked or are working in the MA area and have any advice as far as what facility would be great to work for and what kind of pay to expect I would greatly appreciate it! Sincerely Remi P. |
